2013-2016 Commercial Electricity Quotes... For Free

Curious About Your Next Electricity Contract? Just Want An Accurate Rate To Project Future Budget Costs? With 100 Degree Temps Coming,  Is Your Business  Prepared To Accept Much Higher Rates If The New $5,000 Mwh Price Caps Are Reached?  It Doesn't Have To be That Way.

No Hassle, No Fee, No Obligation

Today, most energy buyers I contact are so focused on managing the day to day procurement needs in front of them that they often fail to realize what’s going on behind them in their future energy supply chain. With greater and greater frequency I hear the response: “Thank you, but we’re happy with our current contract, try back in a year”.

Unfortunately, that response addresses none of your organization’s future needs because until your facilities permanently close you’ll always be in need of electricity. While current cost is certainly important, the predictability of future costs and their impact on your next budget is probably even more important.

Can your small business risk $10,000+ electric bills?

Going into the 2013 summer season, electricity prices in Texas now have the potential for some considerable upside movement. Effective June 1st 2013, wholesale electric price caps have been increased to $5,000/Mwh or the retail equivalent of $5.00/kwh at the consumer level. These allowed "spikes" are designed to give generators enough of a financial incentive to build new power plants that can serve the state's ever-growing needs. For Retail Electric Providers the risks of a spike are enormous and would immediately be reflected in new rate offers. Is it worth the risk to leave your future needs unhedged?

Can it happen again?

Back in the summer of  2011, the existing cap of  $3,000/Mwh was reached approximately 20 times. Today, if that same level of load is reached the resulting price is now nearly doubled. In addition, with 2014 and 2015 price caps already set at $7,000 and $9,000, should this year's cap be reached before you sign your next contract, all new rate offers could be substantially higher for years to come. With current 2013-2016 rates still offered near 6 cents, experienced energy buyers know that it's not always about saving money as it is about reducing risks.
